Paul and I had our first day in London yesterday! We kept off the jet lag by drinking coffee and walking all over the city.
We walked from the London Eye area over to Soho. On our way we stopped into a pub established in the 1430s. Talk about an old bar. The bar was called Cittie of Yorke. They had cask ale – when beer is fermented in a wooden cask. While there we chatted with a sassy, awesome London lady named, “Roz” – she was accompanied by her dog, “Bob” – a cute curly gray terrier who was “pure bred”! He loved eating chips from our hands and was a cute fella. She gave us all sort of tips of what to see in London. She was a cool lady and we talked about the current political climate, places to see in Europe, and London architecture and design.
After that we moseyed to “Rock and Sole Plaice” to have fish and chips where the actor Idris Elba likes to get them. If he eats there I figured it’d be good 🙂
Today is SUNNY!!! and we are off to see the Tate, ride the Eye, and maybe finished off the night with a mysterious “Jack the Ripper” tour? See you later folks!
